Our mental wellbeing course is a winner for Aviva
One of our corporate partners, Aviva, was recently recognised for providing excellent customer care – and we were invited to celebrate with them as we've helped Aviva to better support customers who've experienced a crisis.
Aviva came first in the Customer Care category at the British Insurance Awards (which recognises achievements in the insurance industry) for:
- demonstrating excellent customer care, backed by clear standards and validated monitoring of performance
- proving the impact of an innovative customer care strategy on retention levels and client satisfaction.
Our mental wellbeing training was instrumental in helping Aviva to win the award, as we've been delivering courses for their loss assessors to help them better support their customers during and after a crisis.
Director of Red Cross Training Patrick Gollop is pictured (above right) celebrating with Aviva at the event, which was held at the Royal Albert Hall on Wednesday 5 July 2017.
He said: "Our mental wellbeing courses help Aviva employees to cope during what can be a difficult time for their customers, who have potentially lost everything. We are delighted that we have been able to support Aviva with clear standards and high levels of satisfaction".
A winning partnership
Gavin Scaife from Aviva said: "Having your home damaged or destroyed can be a traumatic experience; something we became acutely aware of when we were on the ground in the catastrophic floods of 2015/16.
"We recognised that our customers needed emotional support and our employees needed support to help when speaking to people in a crisis.
"Working with experts in the British Red Cross, we’ve developed a specialist training programme for our field claims employees. This is a first in the industry and it’s already making a significant, positive difference to our customers and our people."
