New #learnandshare first aid campaign

At the beginning of the year, the British Red Cross launched a new campaign asking people to make a pledge – to learn and share first aid skills that could help save a life.

We trained over 150,000 people in 2016, and we're hoping to reach even more people in 2017 by asking everyone who attends our first aid courses to snap photos of themselves with our #learnandshare pledge boards and share them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

"I can save a life, so can you"

People who've completed a course with us often comment on how simple it was to learn first aid, and how much more confident they would feel in an emergency situation as a result*.

We want people to use our new #learnandshare pledge boards to say "I can save a life, so can you", as a way of:

  • sharing their new-found confidence and skills with others
  • helping us raise awareness of the importance of first aid.

Our trainers will be encouraging people to take snaps of themselves with their pledges at the end of each course.

Get involved

However you choose to learn first aid, you can support the campaign by downloading a printable pledge board and sharing a photo on social media; don't forget to use the hashtag #learnandshare.
