Automated external defibrillator certificate
Valid for three years
* (excl. VAT)
This course is suitable for people aged 16+ who have a current first aid certificate and want to learn how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED).
We also offer an AED with life support course for people who don't have a current first aid certificate.
This course is currently only available at our London, Salford, Edinburgh and Reading venues; however, you can organise a training session for a group of up to 15 people at your workplace by requesting a group booking.
This course contains:
- unresponsive and breathing (recap)
- unresponsive and not breathing (recap)
- heart rhythms
- chain of survival
- how to use an AED
- after use and ongoing maintenance of an AED.
On successful completion of this course, you will receive an automated external defibrillator certificate which is valid for three years by the British Red Cross.
As you've indicated that you also need training in how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED), we recommend the AED with life support course in addition to your first aid training requirements.
This two hour course is ideal for organisations whose first aid equipment include an AED, as it covers how to use an AED with cardiopulmonary resuscitaion (CPR) to treat someone who is having sudden cardiac arrest.
