Benefits

Quick and easy booking; one central number for all your first aid needs
It doesn’t matter how many people you need to train or how many sites you need to train first aiders for, we can meet all your first aid course needs through one central number, one email address, and one customer service team.

We’re just around the corner
With over 180 venues strategically located throughout the UK, you can rest assured that your training will take place at a location convenient to you. If you prefer, we can even come to you with our in-company training service.

HSE-approved
With over 25 years experience in first aid training for the workplace, we are one of the most trusted Health and Safety Executive (HSE)-approved providers. Since the announcement of the new HSE guidelines in October 2009, we have refreshed our course portfolio and content to ensure our first aid training is fully accredited and up-to-date.

Quality assured
Red Cross Training holds ISO 9001: 2008 quality accreditation and is recognised with an Investors In People award, ensuring that the training and customer service you receive consistently meets the high standards you should expect. In addition, we have recently completed our Driver CPC accreditation, meaning that we can provide authorised first aid training as part of the Driver Certificate for Professional Competence.

Our unique portfolio of recognised and specialised courses
Red Cross Training delivers over 800 courses each and every month. We provide a range of scheduled and in-company courses that you should expect from any first aid training provider: first aid at work (FAW), emergency first aid at work (EFAW) and first aid annual update (FAU). We also offer additional courses tailored to the general public. View our course portfolio.

A hands-on approach to training
We believe in learning by doing. All our courses are designed to give our delegates the confidence to actively participate in their skills training. We feel that watching slides and sitting down all day can inhibit your opportunity to learn. We have found that the more you interact with the trainer and with other delegates, the more confident you will be as a trained first aider. You can read more about
our approach to first aid training.

Safe Hands members’ community
We are committed to supporting lifelong learning. Your ability to remember everything you learned on a first aid course will fade, even though your need for first aid skills remains real and vital. Safe Hands is a free online community for all our workplace delegates, designed to keep you feeling confident and refreshed in your first aid training. With over 80,000 Safe Hands members, you will be part of a growing group of individuals who have proven they have the skills to save someone’s life.

National Accounts managed service
If you employ over 500 staff or have a first aid training budget of more than £10,000, you could benefit from our National Account managed service. We know how time-consuming it can be to book training for a large group of people or across a multitude of sites. Our National Accounts service takes all that pain away.

Supporting a charity
Unlike other first aid training providers, we are part of the world’s largest humanitarian organisation and are a registered UK charity. All our operating surplus goes into our Red Cross Charity Fund to care for those in crisis, both at home and overseas.
