Similar to those who employ remote or lone workers, employers are responsible for meeting the first aid needs of their employees who travel. Employers' assessment of first aid needs should determine whether:
- those who travel regularly for work should carry a personal first aid box
- separate arrangements need to be made for those who work in remote areas
- to provide means of summoning help, such as a mobile phone
