First aid for adult

Who is it for?

Suitable for people 16 years and over, this course is designed for members of the general public who wish to learn first aid skills for adults. This course is not appropriate for anyone requiring first aid training at work.

  • unconscious breathing
  • unconscious not breathing
  • seizures
  • burns
  • bleeding heavily
  • broken bones, strains and sprains
  • head injury
  • choking
  • heart attack
  • stroke
  • severe allergic reaction
  • diabetic emergency.

Qualification

First aid for adult certificate of learning. We recommend you refresh your skills after 12 months.

This course is not appropriate for anyone requiring first aid training for the workplace.

Pre-requisites

Our first aid for adult course is designed to teach members of the general public wanting to learn first aid. We include practical exercises to help give you confidence in dealing with real life situations.

This is a 4 hour course run over one day. We also offer a first aid for adult evening course split over two consecutive evenings (2 hours per evening).

Notes

There are no creche facilities; therefore we cannot accommodate children.
